Privacy Policy

What this service does

Ask The Council lets you submit a question and receive an AI-generated analysis. We designed it to collect as little personal data as possible: there are no user accounts, no sign-up, and no database storing your questions.

Your question

When you submit a question, it is sent to Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, USA) for AI processing under their commercial API terms. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models. Your question is processed to generate the response and is not stored on our servers. Do not include sensitive personal data (health, financial details, identification numbers) in your questions.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). We never see or store your card details. Stripe processes your payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded.

Local storage

We store a small flag in your browser's local storage to remember whether your free session has been used and how many paid sessions remain. This never leaves your device. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., which may process technical data (IP address, request logs) to deliver and protect the service.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Since we do not store your questions or maintain accounts, there is typically nothing for us to look up. For any privacy request, contact us at the address in the imprint. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
